As I journey throughout this life
my path to glory shines
led by the light of true wisdom
e’er upward as it winds

where God leads there’s always safety
His presence is the key
to follow closely in His way
is truth that’s guiding me

for walking by faith at it’s best
my destination looms
to become a person of God
in whom His favor grooms

that along life’s certain pathway
the one chosen of God
becomes my first priority
of where on earth I trod

in seeking those who need the Lord
by walking every mile
in obedience to my Father
not having any guile

thus Jesus is the Lord of lords
He’s worthy of my trust
I can believe Him at His word
to do all that I must

in going forward all the time
boldly I take His hand
together we form a union
and execute His plan
